the the Cicero Police Department.
Rhonda Thorpe is the Administrative
Assistant
and works close at hand with the eight full-time police officers,
and 11 reserve officers. The Cicero Police Department also provides back up
to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, the State Police and provides animal control
services in a joint cooperative
effort with the Town of Arcadia.

The Cicero Police Commissioners are
E. Scott
Miller, Mike
Orr and John Hines. The Commissioners meet on the first Monday of each
month at 5pm at the Police Station.
The Cicero Police Department is an advocate of "community policing."
Community policing is designed to help keep citizens informed by having a
cordial, visible presence in the community and demonstrating both courage
and compassion. It means giving equal attention to both the authority and
the responsibility that is given the police.

citizen begins to understand how their town looks though a police cruiser's windshield.
Key elements of community policing include the police Reserve Officers, schools and youth
relationships, summer bike patrols, community outreach,
