IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM CICERO WASTEWATER SUPERINTENDENT MATTHEW DOTSON:
We are asking all of our customers to please refrain from flushing the following types of products down your toilets: Disposable Towels, Baby Wipes, and Feminine Hygiene products.
Although many of these products CLAIM to be safe to flush; they do not have time to break down in the sanitary sewer system before reaching the lift station. As a result they have been clogging pumps in the lift station that serves your area. This dramatically INCREASES LABOR AND MAINTENANCE costs and will eventually result in costly pump failures.
