AUGUST 31, 2022 UPDATE:
Stringtown Pike rehabilitation is planned for 9/12 – 9/30 and will result in new road surface when complete. During the project, there will be flaggers and one-way traffic during the workday. The contractor will maintain access as best possible. Specific dates and needs for residents can be coordinated with the contractor on site or by discussions with Terry Cooper with the Town Streets and Utility Department. Intermittent final work will also be performed in the month of October but will have less impact upon the traveling public.
DRINKING WATER: QUALITY CONCERNS
DJ Bennett is responsible for the operation of the Water Treatment Plant. The Water Plant extracts water from 4 wells in the area and serves almost 2,900 customers. The Water Plant is a pressure filter treatment plant with chlorine for disinfecting.

SANITARY/SEWER WATER CONCERNS
Matt Dotson is responsible for the operation of the Wastewater Plant. The town’s plant is designed to handle a maximum of 750,000 gallons a day, with 1.5 million gallons at peak times. The daily operation is just over 50% capacity. This modern facility meets all IDEM and EPA standards and is monitored daily for compliance.
