The Cicero Sports Complex Closed to the Public through May 1st – Immediate Release
The Town of Cicero has announced the Cicero Sports Complex (the baseball and softball fields) are closed to the public effective immediately through May 1st. The date is subject to change with the COVID-19 emergency. The Town of Cicero activated new health and safety measures last week to keep town employees and the community safe by restricting public access to all town owned buildings and suspending all Town of Cicero Parks Department Programs.
Currently, the Parks System is comprised of two main parks-Red Bridge Park and Community Park and the new Sports Complex. Together they consist of 50 acres with marina, pool, with a variety of playground equipment for all ages, picnic areas, two miles of walking paths including the path along Stringtown Pike, and five ball diamonds.
The mission of the Cicero Parks Department is to foster the natural, cultural and recreational heritage of the Cicero Community through the on going development of its 2004-FiveYear Parks Plan.
The Parks System has recently incorporated a brand new Sports Complex Facility. This complex consists of five ball diamonds for our local youth and is available for public/leasing use.
The Cicero Friends of the Park is a non-profit organization that is highly involved with scheduling events and helping raise funds for the Parks special projects.
