With the projected cold weather conditions that may affect our community this week, the Cicero Fire Department felt it was important to address some questions that our residents may have in case of emergency . The Cicero Fire Department has always been a place of safety in extreme temperatures. The Cicero Fire Department has been designated as an emergency “warming/cooling station for severe weather” by the Town of Cicero and Hamilton County Emergency Management. This means that should you need emergency warming or cooling due to extreme weather conditions, the Fire Department would be opened for community use. The warming station would be activated under the following conditions:
- An emergency may be declared locally by the Town of Cicero.
- An emergency may be declared by Hamilton County Emergency Management. They may request that our site be opened.
Any activation of this warming/cooling station would be publicized to our local media and our town social media sites and web pages.

Should you lose power, please contact your power company and see what the restoration time may be. See if the outage will be worth the risk of leaving your home. Should you have a life threatening emergency, please call 911 for an emergency response. Should you come to the Fire Department when there has not been a declared emergency, or after business hours, please use our door bell or emergency phone located inside our front door for assistance.
NOTE: The Cicero Fire Department’s building is not a safe structure in the event of a tornado.
