The Cicero Police Department has investigated several thefts over the last 30 days. Most of these thefts have been of items left outside such as bicycles or of items taken from garages such as power tools and lawn equipment. The area most affected is the older part of town east of Main St.  The thefts were reported to have occurred both overnight and during the daytime hours.

The Cicero Police Department is asking that anyone that may have seen anything that could be related to these incidents to please call our office at 317-984-3648 and leave a message for Major Jim Hunter or Officer Doug Grishaw.

We encourage you to call police dispatch at 317-773-1282 if you observe anything suspicious in your neighborhood, and if possible, obtain license plate numbers and descriptions of any vehicles or persons involved.

We would also like to remind people that having the make, model and serial numbers of your property documented will greatly improve the chances of recovering the items and prosecuting the individuals responsible should you be the victim of a theft. This could be done by writing the information down or by taking pictures of the information and keeping it in a secure location for future use.

Thank you for helping us keep our community safe.
