The 1st Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Festival will be held on Saturday, December 3rd from 4:30pm – 7:00pm at the Pocket Park located at the intersection of Jackson and Short Streets and at various locations along Jackson Street.  From 4:30-6:30 several free events will be featured.  Games with prizes will be located at Cicero Pool and Spa and Booker Realty; Red Bridge Realty will have a hot chocolate station; and Sweet Inspirations Bakery will be hosting a cookie decorating contest at the Cicero Town Hall.  Families are invited to visit Old Saint Nick at Santa Land, located in the Pocket Park.  Parents are welcome to take photos of their children with Santa free of charge.

At 6:45pm, the 1st Annual Christmas Tree lighting will occur at the Pocket Park.  A huge tree, donated by Cicero residents Dave and Becky Benefiel, will be positioned in the Pocket Park.  If you have a child in Kindergarten through 5th grade, they are welcome to submit an essay outlining “What Christmas Means to Me” for a chance to be 1 of 3 children to have the honor of lighting the tree.
