Cicero, IN – The public is welcome and invited to attend a public workshop to identify and discuss priorities for the Cicero Downtown Revitalization Plan.  The Town’s Planning Consultant, HWC Engineering, and the Cicero Downtown Revitalization Plan Steering Committee will be in attendance to discuss questions, concerns, and receive input on the plan.  The plan is to be funded through a Planning Grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA).

The purpose of the downtown revitalization plan is to identify opportunities which will allow Cicero to take the next steps towards attracting future investment in the downtown.  This includes establishing an understanding of the current conditions, analysis of the factors that will impact and influence future decisions in the downtown, establishing the core vision and goals for redevelopment of the study area, as well as establishing the tools and methods to implement work.  The three focus areas of the plan will include:  research and analysis, creation of a downtown market analysis, and an historic facades evaluation.

All are encouraged to attend this public workshop to assist the town in developing the future of downtown Cicero.
